Purpose of the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering) is a nationally recognised qualification for engineers and also provides progression to higher level qualifications including HNC or HND.
This work-based qualification is aimed at learners who are working in a broad range of occupations in the Engineering and Manufacturing sector.

(Development Technical Knowledge) The Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering) has been designed to meet the needs of learners who wish to acquire specialist skills and knowledge in the electrical/electronic area.
Learners complete a mix of more general engineering units alongside specialist electrical/electronic units, focusing on areas such as three-phase motors and electronic circuit design and manufacture.
The achievement of this qualification may contribute to confirmation of the achievement of the underpinning skills and knowledge requirements of many new Apprenticeship Standard occupations, including the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician, in order for learners to progress to the End-Point Assessment and achieve the Apprenticeship Standard.
