Control & Instrumentation (Module 2)
Objective: To provide delegates with the necessary knowledge skills and safe working practices to enable them to safely undertake a range of electrical tasks in an industrial environment.
This course is aimed at practising electrical engineers who wish to understand the basics of Control & Instrumentation.
This is the second of 3 modules.
The course will allow practical exercises where students will connect and do measurements on current loops.
This is an intensely practical course and only required theory will be taught.
Compress air will feature in this course so candidates must be safety conscious.

Pre-course requirements:
Delegates will need to have completed Module 1 of the Control & Instrumentation courses and possess a basic understanding of electrical measuring devices/instruments.
Course Content:
Compressors and air lines
Bellows and diaphragms
3-15 p.s.i. and 4-20 signal types, conversions between.
Components of control valves, varying seat types.
Feedback and linearisation
Intelligent Valves
Motor Speed Control using 4-20 m.a. signals and VFDs
Fault finding using elements of module 1 and 2
