The Elevated Knowledge Santa Dash 2024!
Annually, this 1 mile charity fun run is held to raise funds for local charity, ‘When you wish upon a star’ dream making for terminally ill children. This charity helps to create dreams come true and memories for the families that they can cherish long after their brave children are no longer with them.
Our Santa Dash was run at Whitehill Playing fields, Reddish, just near to Elevated Knowledge HQ. The weather has been so kind to us over the last few days meaning that the running terrain was a little less boggy than usual.
Our staff and apprentices donned their Santa suits (& Elf suits), and lined up for the race.
A great enthusiastic start was made by all but by halfway around the first lap, the true contenders for the prizes were already showing their leads.
The race was eventually won giving 3rd place to Sean McDonagh from Park Engineering, 2nd went to Wynolda Adams from The University of Manchester and the 1st prize went to Bobby Bates of HOWCO!
Centre Manager, Louise Pollitt said, “ Our apprentices have shown a great effort for fundraising this year and we’re proud of each and every one of them, well done to you all!”
Seconding that, we’d like to say a massive well done to all of our apprentices who have participated and got sponsors for this great cause.
