Overview
Elevated Knowledge provide stand alone National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) for Individuals who are wanting to get ahead in their career with a qualification or for Employers who wish to invest in their current workforce, giving existing staff the opportunity to broaden their skillset and knowledge in a shorter time than a full apprenticeship.
Our NVQs range from Level 2 to Level 4 and can be taken in any of the following fields:

This pathway is for those specialising in the maintenance and servicing of stairlifts. Assessment includes:
• Carrying Out Fault Location on Stairlift Equipment (QENM2/039)
• Carrying Out Servicing Activities on Stairlift Equipment (QENM2/040)
• Restoring Stairlifts to Service by Replacing or Repairing Components (QENM2/041)

Servicing Service Lifts
This pathway focuses on the servicing of service lifts. Assessment includes:
• Carrying Out Fault Location on Service Lifts (QENM2/042)
• Carrying Out Servicing of Service Lift Equipment (QENM2/043)
• Restoring Service Lifts to Service by Replacing or Repairing Components (QENM2/044)
Pathway Installing and Servicing Platform Lifts
Installing and Servicing Platform Lifts
This pathway covers both the installation and servicing of platform lifts. Assessment includes:
• Carrying Out Fault Location on Lifting Platforms (QENM2/062)
• Installing Lifting Platforms (QENM2/063)
• Carrying Out Servicing of Lifting Platforms (QENM2/064)
• Restoring Lifting Platforms to Service by Replacing or Repairing Components (QENM2/065)
Course Structure
The qualification requires the completion of mandatory units, followed by specialised units relevant to each pathway. This structure ensures a thorough assessment of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

1. Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements (QENM2/001)
2. Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation (QENM2/002)
3. Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering (QENM2/003)
4. Handing Over and Confirming Completion of Maintenance or Installation Activities (QENM2/004)
Assessment Process
Our assessment process is designed to validate the competence of candidates through practical, real-world activities. Assessments are conducted in the workplace, ensuring candidates can demonstrate their abilities in a real working environment. We utilise e-portfolio software for seamless documentation and remote live video observations for flexible, real-time assessment.
