Apprenticeship Training will involve preparing for the role and achieving the required standard of competence for:

Broad Purpose of the Role

·         Produce complex and precision components using conventional or CNC machine tools.

·         Machine components from metal or specialist materials.

·         Interpret technical information and plan machining activities.

·         Set up, operate, and adjust machine tool settings.

·         Produce, prove, and validate CNC programs where applicable.

·         Inspect components and machinery, reporting issues as required.

·         Support continuous improvement activities within the workplace.

·         Operate in a manufacturing environment.

Workplace Interactions

·         Collaborate with other Machining Technicians.

·         Interact with various stakeholders, including:

·         Engineering or manufacturing team leaders (as part of a defined or cross-functional team).

·         Customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

·         Quality auditors and regulators.

·         Ensure the quality and accuracy of work produced.
