Single & 3 Phase Motor Controls and Drawings

Objective: To provide delegates with the necessary knowledge skills and safe working practices to enable them to safely undertake a range of electrical tasks in an industrial environment.

Course duration: 3 days

Pre-course requirements:
Delegates can be in any of our three levels of achievement to attend this programme, but need to have the core 5 days course knowledge from the Electrical Safety and Fundamentals to progress to the next level of moving on to be an instructed person and a skilled person going forward.

Course Content:

• Electric Motor types
• Motor winding configuration.
• Interpretation of drawings (schematic and wiring diagrams)
• Three Phase contactors
• Direct on line starters (DOL)
• Timer Relays.
• Power circuit configurations (Star-Delta, Forward – Reverse)
• Control circuits (Stop – Start, Forward – Reverse)
• Wiring systems (Tri – Rating, Enclosures – basic protection)

This is an introduction and a pre-requisite course to help delegates move forward with learning and knowledge building in the Electrical Engineering areas, and there will be home study required along with practical exercises.
