Our 2026 Apprenticeships open day this year is being held to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week. #NAW
Our training centre will be open from 10am onward on Wednesday 18th February but most interested parties will want to come along between 4pm and 7:30pm as this is when our recruiting employers will be exhibiting! Keep an eye on this page for new companies as they confirm and to find our more about how we can help you in your pursuit to a career in Engineering.
All are welcome and no booking is required but guided tours will be available every half hour from 4pm onward.

KNDS
KNDS is a leading defence engineering manufacturer based in Stockport, working closely with the UK Ministry of Defence.
The company specialises in the design and manufacture of military bridging systems and components for the BOXER armoured vehicle, supporting vital defence operations in the UK and overseas.

T.E.L. Engineering Ltd
T.E.L. Engineering is a specialist engineering company based in Hazel Grove, Stockport, designing and manufacturing electrical slip ring units for a wide range of industrial applications. Established in 1975, the company has decades of experience in electro-mechanical engineering and machinery design.
T.E.L. Engineering is known for innovation, having pioneered the first flameproof electrical slip ring unit for pedestal cranes used in oil and gas exploration.
Allied Bakeries
Allied Bakeries is a leading UK food manufacturing company based in Bredbury, Stockport, producing a wide range of well-known bakery brands enjoyed by households nationwide. Frederic Robinson
Frederic Robinson (Unicorn Packaging Centre) is a leading brewing and packaging specialist based in Bredbury, Stockport. Part of a long-established family-run business, the Unicorn Packaging Centre operates one of the UK’s most advanced brewing, bottling, and packaging facilities, producing around 75,000 hectolitres and packing millions of units each year across beer, cider, low and no alcohol, and bespoke products.

The Denton plant operates large-scale industrial equipment, automated systems, and energy-intensive processes to manufacture durable, sustainable building materials. As an apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with experienced engineering teams, developing skills in mechanical, electrical, and production maintenance. Arrow Engineering
Based in Salford, Manchester, Arrow Engineering was established in 1981.
Their in-house engineering team is available all year round to help to keep manufacturing companies running. Their machine shop includes Gear Cutting, Milling, Boring, Broaching, Slotting and Key Seating.
