This introductory Electrical Safety course provides delegates with the knowledge, skills, and safe working practices required to carry out electrical tasks safely within an industrial environment. It serves as a pre-requisite for further learning and development in electrical engineering.

The course covers key legislation, including EAWR, HASAWA, and COSHH, and explains the differences between domestic, commercial, and industrial standards. Delegates will learn safe isolation procedures for single- and three-phase supplies, verification of isolation, and the distinction between competence and knowledge. Risk assessments, method statements, and control systems for works are also addressed, supported by practical exercises and home study to reinforce understanding.

This is an introduction and a pre-requisite course to help delegates move forward with learning and knowledge building in the Electrical Engineering areas, and there will be home study required along with practical exercises.
