The course covers the solar PV market, funding routes (including MCS), regulations and standards, health and safety, AC/DC theory, system design, site surveying, commissioning, and fault finding. On completion, learners will be able to safely design, install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems to industry standards.

The course consists of classroom and practical training, and there will be a practical observed assignment as well as a multiple choice assessment at the end of the third day. The assessments are open book.
