Single Discipline (Level 3)
Best for: Businesses that require specialist expertise in one area.
Focuses on one core discipline:
- Electrical
- Mechanical
- Control & Instrumentation
- Develops deep technical knowledge in a specific field
- Ideal for environments where roles are clearly defined and specialised
- Supports high-level competence in a single technical area
- Typically suited to businesses with dedicated engineering departments
Example: A company with separate electrical and mechanical teams who require dedicated specialists in each area.
Dual Discipline (Level 3)
Best for: Businesses that need multi-skilled, flexible engineers.
Combines two disciplines:
- Electrical & Mechanical
- Electrical & Control & Instrumentation
- Develops broad, cross-functional skills
- Ideal for environments where engineers need to respond quickly to a wide range of issues
- Supports reduced downtime and increased operational flexibility
- Particularly valuable for lean teams or fast-paced production environments

Programme delivery
Delivery options
Delivery: Two delivery options are available:
Local
Can be delivered on block release to our training centre. Includes practical training and F2F technical certificate option.
Single Discipline: 42 months plus 4 months EPA. Dual Discipline: 48 months plus 4 months EPA.
Nationally
Can be delivered via in-company training tasks (subject to there being a suitably qualified mentor in company) plus online knowledge delivery on a day release basis (48 months plus 4 months EPA).
