Elevated Knowledge Expands CNC Training Capabilities with Two New Machines

Elevated Knowledge is pleased to announce the arrival of two new CNC machines — an Ajax AJAT320 Atom CNC Lathe and an Ajax AJPR400 Proton Super CNC Mini Mill — enhancing our hands-on training provision for engineering apprentices.

These additions have been made possible through the DFE Growth Pilot Funding Scheme, allowing us to continue strengthening our delivery model and ensuring our apprentices gain the most up-to-date, industry-relevant experience.

The new machines come equipped with Siemens controllers, enabling our apprentices to develop their programming skills across Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Siemens control systems, alongside generic G-Code programming (G-code, short for “geometric code,” is a text-based programming language that instructs CNC machines on how to move and operate).

This wider exposure ensures our learners are well-prepared to work confidently with a range of CNC equipment found in modern engineering environments.

With the inclusion of the CNC Lathe, Elevated Knowledge can now deliver CNC turning alongside CNC Milling training. This means apprentices will gain a broader skill set, covering both machining disciplines.

Learners will have the opportunity to programme, set, and operate the machines in a safe and controlled environment within our training centre before returning to their employers to put their enhanced skills and knowledge into practice.

This investment marks another exciting step forward in our mission to provide cutting-edge, high-quality engineering training that meets the evolving needs of industry.

The machines will also be used for our ever popular commercial courses like Machining (Milling & Turning), or for more information on all our courses, see our technical courses directory.
